Tambo Launched their Smartphones and Featured phones in India starting from Rs 600
Tambo Mobiles, a new entrant in India’s fast-growing mobile phone market, yesterday announced the launch of its brand with 3 smartphones and 6 feature phones. The smartphones will be categorized as ‘Superphones’ and will be available in three colors – Black, Champagne and Blue. Tambo Mobile will also be offering a plethora of best-in-class feature phone range under its Powerphones category. The price range of Tambo’s Powerphones and Superphones will fall under 600 rupees to 7,000 Rupees.
The Mobile market in India is huge and any new brand can reach to next level in just no time if their phones are good, after sales service is good and obviously the way of marketing. Tambo will initially capture the offline market and then gradually will start selling their phones via online channels also. Tambo has focused on after sales service and is also offering 200 days replacement warranty along with a warranty of one time screen replacement within 365 days of buying the phone. Tambo is also planning to have 600 service centres across the country by the financial year 2018.
The brands like Mi, Honor, OnePlus etc are focusing on the phones in a premium segment but no one is focusing on low budget or entry level segment. So it’s a good chance for Tambo to capture this slot of low budget market and now it’s on Tambo how they are going to tackle with other brands.
Tambo is planning to sell 1M+ phones by December 2018 and then they will step-up into premium segment. Currently phones are being manufactured by third party and soon they will start their own manufacturing plant in Noida. Tambo is based out of Noida, India.
Tambo Superphones have a decent specifications. All Tambo superphones will come with a MediaTek Processor and a finger print scanner along with face unlock feature. Tambo superphones will have a 3000 mAh Battery and 8MP Rear camera and 5MP front camera with flash.
Tambo’s Powerphones will have features like dedicated music keys, time talker, 60-day battery standby, 22 Language support among others, making it useful for a diverse segment of people. The Superphones and Powerphones will be available at retail outlets spread across India.
Tambo phones might will be available from next month but still once we get a official update we will let you know so stay tuned.
