Now Book Your Train Tickets with Cash on Delivery (COD) Payment Option
IRCTC in partnership with BookMyTrain.com has launched a new payment mode, Cash on Delivery (COD) for booking the train tickets.
Now the users can book the tickets by paying hard cash at their door steps with just normal service charge. This is really an amazing feature that IRCTC has added in Rail Booking System.
Paying from your Credit/Debit card to buy/book train tickets was always hectic, specially at Tatkal Hours. Many times money is debited from your account but the ticket was not booked then you have to contact IRCTC for the same and have to forward your complaint after that they ask for transaction screenshots etc. and then you have to wait for around 7 days till the payment gateway will not refund your money.

But now with the new added feature by IRCTC you don’t have to worry about this because now you can select the Cash on Delivery payment mode while booking train tickets.
Many people even don’t have Debit/Credit cards, so they were not able to book tickets online by their selves and hence they are bound to contact an agent or to visit a Tour and Travels to book tickets and also by paying some extra money as their commission.
IRCTC has really added a great feature in booking ticket but this function will not be available in IRCTC’s official Website, so to book your tickets you have to visit the BookMyTrain.com to get this feature, or you can also download the Mobile application of Book My Train in your Windows, Android, iOS Smartphone and with the help of this application you can book your travel on Cash on Delivery (COD).
The mobile applications are not designed well, their Desktop view is good but their mobile version is very poor, they might be using some switchers or Converters, So the mobile app needs development.
There are some drawbacks also in this Cash on delivery payment option that is you cannot book the Tatkal tickets by choosing COD payment option and also the tickets which are dated less than five days from the current date. Also if in case you want to cancel the Ticket they will not give you the hard cash but they ask for the bank details and they will transfer the money to your bank account.
To login to BookMyTrain.com you don’t need to create a new account in BookMyTrain.com but you can login with your IRCTC Credentials.
