Panasonic new Smartphone Lumix DMC-CM1 Review

Panasonic new Lumix DMC-CM1 Review

Panasonic is one of the largest Electronic device makers in the world. Panasonic has now started making smartphones also. And also Panasonic is quite successful in making and selling the smartphones all over the world.

The Panasonic is launching a new smartphone, Lumix DMC-CM1 with a powerful camera or we can say it is a camera that can make a phone call. Is it not that interesting that the phone has a 1 inch, 20 megapixel image sensor, which is 7 times larger than the standard of any other smartphone present in the market today.

So, just calling it a smartphone would not be doing justice to it. Panasonic is launching the all new DMC-CM1 in UK on December 1. This phone will also be released in France and Germany. The Panasonic used the same sensor in Lumix DMC-CM1 which is used in Lumix DMC-FZ1000 bridge camera, that means the Lumix DMC-CM1 will be more powerful when it comes to taking photos. Lumix DMC-CM1 has f/2.8 Leica DC Elmarit lens, that makes it to record a 4K video, a dedicated hardware shutter button and a switch to toggle between camera and smartphone modes.

Talking about it’s look and design it looks so cool, it looks like both camera as well as a smartphone. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 also includes a 4.7-inch 1080 display. It has a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 CPU, 2GB RAM, NFC connectivity, Android 4.4 Kitkat and a 2,600 mAh battery. These features are going to make it a tough competition for other smartphones in the market. But not only the tough competition with smartphones and also with the Digital Camera’s and the other camcorders.
This smartphone or I can say , “ A Camera phone” could had a major disadvantage ,“talking about internal storage”, the internal storage of the Lumix DMC-CM1 is 16GB. Now, considering the quality of the camera the images and videos taken by this phone will quickly fill up the available memory. And soon you will run short of memory. But thankfully, Panasonic has taken this concern seriously and has provided an external microSD slot in the phone, that will boost the storage capacity of this phone upto 128 GB.

The Lumix DMC-CM1 was originally planned to release only in France and Germany, but due to the increasing interest in this phone, especially the “camera” the phone will soon make its way to UK on December 1, 2014. The Lumix DMC-CM1 will be served on first-come, first-served basis.

This phone will be available in the following stores:

Jessops, Oxford St, London.

Dixons, Harrods, London.

Park Cameras, Burgess Hill.
